The Cheapest Way To Upgrade Your Car Strereo
6.5. Avoid Buying Needless Features
An expensive receiver may contain some needless features for your low cost stereo system.
For example,
· CD Text – Wow! Cool! It displays the title of the song. What will they come up with next?
· Multi Color Display – who cares!
· Built in Equalizer – Same as Presets for your bass and treble controls
· Digital Sound Adjustment – Whatever!
· CD Changer Control - if you are not going to install a CD changer in your car, you don’t need a CD changer control receiver which requires that you buy the same brand of CD changer.
· Wireless Remote Control – why do you need a remote for something that is right in front of you?
· Fold Down Face – Blah! Blah! Blah!
You know, that’s exactly why I bought my receiver, even tough the one next to it was much cheaper and sounded a hell of a lot better.
As a matter of fact, there was nothing wrong with the one in my car I was infected by the SOI Virus.
· Subwoofer output – Only necessary if you plan to add a subwoofer without an equalizer
Needless features may trigger the SOI Virus…
· Save your money
· Buy what you need
· Buy it used from a friend if you have to
· Hey, Buy it on eBay
