CAR STEREO INSTALLATION
TIP
If the factory radio in your car lights up with the dashboard,
be carefuly when installing a new receiver.
There is an extra wire in the car
stereo harness that can be easily confused for the ground wire.
Do not confuse this wire with the
ground wire.
If you do, your radio will work fine
after installation but as soon as you turn on the headlights...
- Your lights will go out and...
- Your radio will stop playing...
Use a light tester to locate this
wire.
This has power (12v) when the lights
are "ON" and ground when the lights are "OFF".
Isolate this wire because you will
not need it for the installation.

CAR STEREO INSTALLATION
TIP
If you are amplifying the front speakers with an Amp installed in the
back, there is no need to run news wires to the front.
Simply join the front speaker
wires to the rear speaker wires (in the back of the radio)
Now you have two long wires going all the way to the front speakers
from the back of the car. |
